UI/UX Design
September - November 2025
coreo is a smart academic workspace that helps students plan, track, and complete projects with clarity, teamwork, and focus.

team projects.
transparent.
stress-free.
Why?
Group projects in schools and colleges often face issues like freeloading, missed deadlines, poor coordination, and unfair grading.
Who?
Students overburdened with group projects because of freeloaders, unfair task distribution, and lacking responsibility.
How?
There is a need for a system that ensures fair task delegation, accountability, deadline adherence, and visibility of each member’s work.

Narrowing down to the problem:
- Peeked into personal experiences on classroom level, finding major problems.
- Noticed unequal effort in group projects, where some students contribute less but receive equal credit.
- Identified recurring deadline issues, with delays or last-minute submissions affecting overall quality.
Group projects lack
fairness, accountability,
transparency.
Collaboration First
Enable students to work together easily through shared tasks and live updates.

Highlight responsibilities and progress so nobody’s left guessing what’s next.
Clarity & Transparency
Effortless Workflows
Flexible Accessibility
Reduce steps, clicks, and confusion to help teams finish faster.
Support different working styles from planners to last-minute warriors.

Low Fidelity

Main Features
Shared Project Checklist
○ A simple milestone tracker (tasks + deadlines)
○ Visible to everyone → keeps work evenly distributed.
Contribution Log (Passive)
○ Members casually note what they did (like check-in notes or auto-tracked in Docs).
○ Builds accountability without constant monitoring.
Role & Responsibility Templates
○ Pre-made frameworks (Leader, Researcher, Designer, Presenter, etc.)
○ Groups can pick or tweak → avoids awkward “who does what” debates.

Heuristic Evaluation Driven
UI components follow usability heuristics to reduce cognitive load during high-pressure academic workflows.

User Flow Validation
Workflow mapping and scenario testing ensured efficient transitions between project creation, task assignment, and tracking.
Scalable Component Library
Reusable design patterns maintain consistency and allow future feature expansion without interface clutter.
Smart
structure,
faster
results.
Streamlined flows help groups finish projects quicker and cleaner, even when deadlines are breathing down their necks.
